It all began in 2016 when Du Glas (Cornish for ‘black’ and ‘blue’) began their adventure with Lucy Osborne on vocals and Anthony Power on guitar and songwriting, performing open mic nights and jam sessions in West Cornwall. With Lucy’s background in theatre and Anthony’s catchy tunes, the duo captured audiences’ hearts with their emotional and dynamic performances. Mydigitalpublication The group has since grown to include rhythm master Kevin Cook on drums, Dave Gourlay on bass and the sweet sounds of Lou Peixinha on flute and violin. Mydigitalpublication Their second album The Edge of the World was named one of Folk London’s Albums of the Year for 2021, offering a collection of spirited songs inspired by the band’s West Cornwall homeland.
