Welcome to Goldsithney Charter Fair 2026
We are so glad you found us! Whether you are a long-time fair-goer or discovering Goldsithney Charter Fair for the very first time, you are in for a brilliant day out.
Taking place on Saturday 1st August 2026 in the heart of West Cornwall, the Charter Fair is a free, fun-filled community celebration that has been bringing people together for generations. Come along, soak up the atmosphere and make some memories!
A Fair Like No Other
Goldsithney Charter Fair is one of the oldest community events in Cornwall, with roots stretching all the way back to 1140. Nearly 900 years on, it remains exactly what it has always been – a joyful, welcoming celebration at the heart of village life.
Each year the fair fills the village with live music, Cornish wrestling, Morris dancers, battling knights, a dog show, children’s games, fantastic food and a wonderful community spirit that you simply have to experience for yourself.
One of the most cherished traditions is the parade of the Red Glove – a nod to the ancient legend that first brought the fair to Goldsithney all those centuries ago. Come and see it for yourself this August!
Live Entertainment All Day Long
We have a fantastic lineup of live music and performance taking shape for 2026 and we cannot wait to share it with you!
From foot-stomping Celtic folk and infectious Ceilidh dancing with Whippletree, to a magical mystery tour through the swinging sixties with The Hurdy Gurdies, and stunning Americana and Country Blues from The Hoodle – the Main Stage is going to be something very special this year.

Food, Crafts and So Much More
One of the best things about the Charter Fair is the incredible variety of stalls and vendors that line the village on the day. From locally made crafts and artisan goods to delicious food and drink, there is always something wonderful to browse, taste and take home.
We are welcoming stallholders and vendors for 2026 right now. If you would like to be part of the fair, we would love to hear from you!

Goldsithney Charter Fair is a community event in the truest sense – it happens because of the brilliant people who give their time, energy and support to make it possible.
